QTY:2 Utility-terrain Vehicles (UTV) are determined as a critical need for Lightning Academy as they conduct individual training for several courses throughout the severely restricted terrain of the East Range Training Complex. This training area has several steep gulches, draws, cliffs, and other dangerous terrain features that students may find themselves lost or injured around. Due to the severely restricted nature of the terrain within East Range, tactical vehicles are unable to traverse over 85% of the training area, making non-standard search and rescue platforms, such as UTVs, the best option in case of emergencies.
