The Regional Contracting Office-Hawai’i is issuing this sources-sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for the inspection and repair of air conditioning systems/chiller plants for the U.S. Army Logistical Support Vessel SSGT Robert T. Kuroda (LSV-7). The intention is to procure these services on a competitive basis for a single award.

The estimated period of performance is five to six months, with work to commence in March2024, and completed by August-September2024.

PROGRAM BACKGROUND

The 8th Theater Sustainment Command (8TSC) is designated as the Army’s coordinator of operational-level sustainment in the Indo-Pacific Command (INDO-PACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR), and in accordance with these assignments, the 545th Harbormaster Detachment provides logistical support by ensuring watercraft is maintained in mission-ready status.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

The Contractor shall provide inspection and repair services for air conditioning systems aboard military logistical support vessels. Further details are provided in the attached copy of the Specific Tasks section of the draft Performance Work Statement.

ELIGIBILITY

The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19M. The Product Service Code is J041.
