This is a Sources Sought Notice for information only: This is not a request for quotes/proposals or an invitation for bids.



In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b), this Sources Sought Notice is for market research and information purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation. This notice is to determine the availability of small businesses (including the following subsets, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUB Zone Firms; Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Woman Owned Small Business) to provide the required services.



The primary mission of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is to deliver regional maintenance, at the depot and intermediate levels, to keep the surface ships and submarines of our nation’s Navy “Fit to Fight.” As Hawaii’s regional maintenance center, capabilities include excellence in overhauling, repairing, converting, alteration, refurbishing, and decommissioning of Navy vessels.



PHNSY & IMF seeks a contractor that is qualified to perform the dismantling and disposal of the Champion Elevators, model US-1000-FP in Dry Dock #1 and #2, which is inclusive of the tower, car, counter weights, base and upper platforms, base and upper landings and all peripherals and electrical components. The schedule of the dismantling and disposal of the elevator shall be determined by government representative and coordinated with the contractor. The desired result of these services is to clear spaces to allow PHNSY & IMF to use the spaces more effectively.



The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors and the Product Service Code is P100 - Preparation and Disposal of Excess and Surplus Property.



This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
