THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO EDGETECH FOR SIDE SCAN SONAR SYSTEM AND RESPECTIVE SPARE PARTS

The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Edgetech LLC, 4 Little Brook RD, West Wareham, Massachusetts 02576, US (UEI: JNJDBJZLL2R7 CAGE: 3QYH9).

The mission of the Defense Prisoner of War (POW)/Missing in Action (MIA) Accounting Agency (DPAA) is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of all Americans missing as a result of our nation's past conflicts. The requirement will support DPAA Scientific Analysis Laboratory investigation and recovery efforts. The highest priority of the organization is the recovery and return of the remains of fallen service members to their families. The contracting officer has determined that Edgetech has the capability to not only meet all salient requirements, but are the direct seller of the Edgetech, which is comprised of the following items:

This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5 under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334511 - Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing Small Business Size Standard of 1250 employees. This is a commercial item. The estimated amount for this procurement is under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold 90 days after Award delivery date.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interest and submit a capability statement indicating they meet the same/similar curriculum identified above by 12:00 PM, EDT on July 19, 2023 to susie.m.lee3.civ@mail.mil and William.p.relyea.civ@mail.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
