GENERAL INFORMATION:
The General Services Administration (GSA), in partnership with the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), together the “Government,” is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to obtain responses from the real estate services community including, developers, building supply companies and recycling & salvage firms who are potentially interested in relocating and/or reusing the building material components of the 33 single family bungalow style housing units located inside of JBPHH, O'ahu, Hawaii (Respondents). The Government will use the information from responses to this RFI for planning a potential Request For Proposal (RFP) and solicitation for a bid package.
The Government’s key objectives are to:
- Facilitate the preservation of the housing units by relocating them to alternative locations by new owners;
- Allow new owners to dismantle and remove the housing units’ components for reuse;
- Ensure safe reuse and recycling; and
- Perform in compliance with federal and state requirements, including any licensing or registration regulations.
The Government invites Respondents to submit ideas that could assist it in attaining its objectives.
Interior videos of the housing units are available at the GSA Auction site. Please see the Links section.
