Contract Opportunity

This is a request for information (RFI). This is not a solicitation for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This RFI does not constitute a commitment from the Government and any information provided in response to this RFI will be used for informational purposes only. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise for future business with the Government. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct Market Research.

Background: DLA Troop Support Indo-Pacific expects to begin issuing solicitations for Milk and Dairy Item Market Ready contracts supporting Oahu, Hawaii region. DLA Troop Support Indo-Pacific's contractors are responsible for providing Fresh Milk and Dairy item distribution support for garrison type feeding to military, federally funded, and other authorized customers in the regions covered by each contract. DLA Troop Support Indo-Pacific contractors provide fresh milk, ice cream, and other dairy products under the contracts. Please respond to the following:

1. Provide a brief description of your company (name, address, type of business; business size, CAGE Code if applicable, place of performance).

2. Market Ready Vendors support includes but is not limited to: sourcing food items; receiving and consolidating product; warehousing and inventory management; quality control, quality assurance, and inspections; transportation and security of product; personnel management; meeting required delivery dates and fill rates; and extensive reporting requirements. Please see attached Excel Spreadsheet for Total yearly sales for the Oahu, Hawaii area.

a. Does your firm currently have any commercial and/or government business in the Oahu, Hawaii area? Or alternatively, describe your firm's experience with the Oahu, Hawaii area.

b. Can your firm manage the volume of business described above? Where are your warehouses presently located? What is the dollar value of product going through your warehouses on an annual basis?

c. What are the potential concerns that you see that may impede/impact your ability to deliver the necessary supplies to the customers in the Oahu, Hawaii area? Current contract will be expired on June 1, 2024. New Contractor’s Required Performance Start Date: June 2, 2024.

3. If or when a solicitation is issued for the Oahu, Hawaii area, does your firm intend to participate in the bidding process?
